What We Do

We begin with what most would consider an old and outdated home. The goal is to find a diamond in the rough. Structurally sound houses with outdated styles, yet the style is still present and revivable to show the houses character. The types of renovations  needed are different, but the goal is for most of the changes to be cosmetic (save for electric and water).

We give ugly houses with a strong foundation a makeover so they can be loved.

We always start with a broad plan for renovating: to create an open floor plan with distinct areas, make the outdoor to indoor transition seamless, and to take an element or character of the house and reiterate it throughout every room.  Such as in Ocean Trailway with its art deco blue fan-shaped tile seen throughout each and every room. In Bend, our current project,  the focus is a mosaic tile, the same tile in each room but with different colors. Finally, with landscaping the goal is to create something that doesn’t require water. Like with Bend just letting the natural plants come through. Sometimes putting rocks down. Making something really efficient is a really big deal. To us.

We do not start with modern houses.

No large home with space you can’t use for anything. Instead create efficient design and only have enough space for everything you need. We start with the furniture, and figure out the layout from there. The goal is to preserve everything possible as long as it can serve the modern vision of the house. Most appliances are replaced, and lots of furniture is painted over and altered, but the bones are still there.
